While walking down the trails at Brooks Falls, the bears are not the only creatures you may come across. We were fortunate to come across this beautiful Spruce Grouse.

Sea Lions In The Distance

Look closely and you can see a colony of Sea Lions on the rock off in the distance surrounded by rocks and waves while cruising in Kenai Fords National Park.

Perched Eagle

Eagle perched on a tree stump on the side of the road in Fairbanks, Alaska. Eagles have an extra eyelid beneath the outer eyelids called the nictitating membrane. It is transparent and helps keep the eye moist and clean while guarding the eye from the wind, dust and hazard. This photo shows the membrane protecting the eagles eye.
